WoW Item Upgrades
Item upgrades--more commonly known as "upping"--are an enchantment and item that can be incorporated into armor and weapons, increasing their power. These upgrade items increase the gauge of an item by a specified number of points. Their costs scale with their rarity.
A perfectly rolled version of this armor is highly prized in the melee PvP community for its ability to minimize the damage caused by weapons.
Type-restricted upgrades
Upgrades are an essential component of the equipment crafting process. They can improve the stats of an item, make it stronger or less durable, and even provide an additional benefit. They also affect the appearance of the item. While some upgrades are universal, others have specific rules for applying to armor or weapons. The wrong upgrade could ruin an item that is otherwise amazing, or even render it useless.
A general rule is that you should only upgrade a piece of equipment up to the level of the highest-level gear in its class. This means that you can upgrade helms, body armors, shields and gloves to the same level as their most elite counterparts. Weapons on the other hand can be upgraded to the level of a sword. However, this won't increase the damage output of the weapon and could decrease its value in trade.
You can upgrade an item using flightstones or crests. The amount of both depends on the item level and slot. Upgrades to swords, for example, will cost more flightstones than an upgrade to a Cloak. You can also receive discounts on the number flightstones or crests required to upgrade an item.
The diamond-shaped indicator on the item is filled up when it is upgraded. Each step increases the item's Tier level one-third. The highest Tier level is Tier 3. Depending on the type of item it will require a different amount of upgrades to reach this level. It is important to note that any procedures that might mount a disk must not be running during an upgrade. It is also important to make sure that the disk you are upgrading is not being used as a system drive.
Enchantment is a feature which lets you transform white or Common items into rare or blue items. Eleanor's Enchantment Shop, located in the Capital District is where you can do it. This procedure does not add gem or rune slots to the equipment however it does alter the size of the equipment. It increases the size of the equipment by the size of a creature 2 categories smaller. For instance, a Blaster Pistol is considered Small and an Stormtrooper Armor is Medium.
Universal upgrades
Universal upgrades are upgrades that can be applied to any type of equipment. This includes armor and weapons. The upgrade components are usually random, but they may also be obtained from completing Side Quests. Universal upgrades can be temporary or permanent, and may be combined with Power Ups. They can also be linear or branching.
The Universal Upgrade begins when "internal technologies" can give sentient creatures new abilities that they are unlikely to acquire naturally. Implants and prostheses are two examples of internal technology. This type of upgrade is different from medical internal technology which aims to restore the natural capabilities. It is the start of an era that will change civilizations fundamentally. The universal upgrade can be an extended and complicated process. However the process can be divided into two distinct types: full success and partial failure.
It's similar to the way resort upgrades work at Disney or Universal. In the case WDW it is typically due to operational requirements such as availability of rooms or the overbooking of rooms. In the case of Universal, this could be to transfer guests from one resort to another one that is open. This is not intended to be a mean-spirited thing, but it is something that can be necessary in the current climate.
Contrary to Runes, Sigils and Jewels, which can only be applied to specific kinds of equipment (armor trinkets, weapons, or) universal upgrades can be applied to any type of gear. They can be used on multiple items at a time. They are therefore more versatile than any other upgrade type. This can be a problem when upgrading items that are on a specific gear route. It can raise the item levels of all pieces along that route.
Before you upgrade, it is important to stop the PowerShell Universal service and delete the application files that are already in use. Then you can install the new files using the GetChildItem-Recurse command or Unblock-File. It is also recommended to perform a basic validation against your PSU server to ensure that it works correctly.
Jewels
Jewels are enhancements that can be put into armor, weapons, and other. They provide various stat bonuses and other effects based on the gemstone and reagent used to make them. They can be found in Golden Chests, Rift Incursions, V Blood Carriers, and regular enemies, or they can be purchased by a Master Craftsman gold or karma. Jewels can be created using a table for jewelry using five of the same reagent type and one gem to create an item with either a higher or lower level. This process is similar to upgrading a stone the gemcrafting table.
Jewel Tiers are determined by the number of modifiers that they have. item upgrader -tier jewels have more modifiers than lower-tier ones. The primary effect of a jewel is determined by the tier it is, while the secondary effect is randomly generated and players can make use of luck potions to increase the chance of obtaining better secondary effects.
Jewels can be added to items that have sockets that match, just like other upgrade components. A Garnet Jewel and a Garnet Stone both boost power however, a Garnet Jewel also boosts a player's ability to strike with force. Jewels can be placed in all weapon, armor and accessory slots. They can also be used with some exotic trinkets, or lesser rarity trinkets that need slots.
Gems are a DM-specific mechanism that can help make items feel special to their owners. With a range of different upgrade paths gems let players customize their equipment and find the best combination for them. They can also upgrade their existing equipment using new jewels in the event that the original set of a given kind isn't working anymore.
Requirements
The WoW item upgrade system allows players to raise the level of their equipment, weapons and trinkets to their current level of item using specific Mists Of Pandaria or Warlords Of Draenor resources. These upgrades boost the stats of the base item, and some even come with special effects (such as Dolphin's Grace which allows players to experience dolphin-like grace while they swim). Players can obtain these upgrades through any upgrader NPC or by salvaging them from items containing them, with a variety of items dropping different upgrade components.
The process of upgrading is somewhat complicated, but it's simple. The player selects the item that he would like to upgrade and then clicks the Upgrade button. A window will appear with the various upgrades available for the item. This window will show the upgrade level, any upgrade type bonus (such as Tech Points or Quality Chance), and the cost of the upgrade. The upgrade level is shown in an upper bar on the top of the screen and the type bonus for upgrading is shown below it.
The player will need to take the item to the upgrader, who will then explain how to upgrade the item. The player must then supply the correct currency and, if necessary, additional materials. These requirements are based on the item's level, with weapons typically having stricter requirements than armor.
In addition to the required upgrade components, many upgrade recipes also have an acceptable materials list. This list contains the other upgrade components that can be used to upgrade an item. It also contains a flag that indicates whether or not it has an assured boost. It is important to be aware because the value of an upgraded item could vary significantly depending on the 'extras' it has, with well rolling gear worth a lot more than non-upgraded versions.
For the types of upgrades that require crests and valorstones, these will be displayed in a separate list beneath the main list. The number of crests and the valorstones required will depend on the item's level. Weapon upgrades require the most Valorstones.
